Marco and Marina were referred to me by a colleague early this Spring. They had been working with an agent already, but felt that their confidentiality had been breeched and didn’t feel comfortable continuing a working relationship that lacked trust. They wanted to start over and work with someone that could speak English and Spanish. My colleague made the match, and the rest is history!

We looked for months and months, and got as aggressive as we could with our offers but kept getting outbid. At a certain point, we felt like we had to explore some alternate options and I talked to another lender about their situation. It was a sensitive situation, as they had a personal relationship with the lender that had pre-approved them and I wasn’t about to compromise their trust again, particularly given their earlier experience. When my lender told me they could qualify for a better loan program, for a higher loan with a lower interest rate, it was a no brainer. All of the sudden, we were back in business and their next offer was accepted.

It was a challenging process for all of the reasons that Marco and Marina cited in their review, but I think it made the final result just that much more rewarding. Being able to be part of a first time home buyer’s journey to home ownership is such an honor, particularly when we’re able to work together and overcome some seemingly unsurmountable obstacles. Marco and Marina are the kindest sort of people, so incredibly kind and generous. I’m really glad our paths crossed and that they’re part of my little sphere now. Cheers to them!
