Alan and Susan reached out several months ago when they were starting to make plans to sell their house on the San Juan Islands and move back to the mainland in order to be closer to their family.

Like a lot of us, price was a big concern. Their criteria was pretty simple, but they were apprehensive about being priced out of this market (sound familiar?) and they didn’t want to compromise on any of their “wants” as they hoped to make this their final house purchase.

Knowing the market makes a huge difference. When we found the perfect house that checked all the boxes, we were competing with a ton of other offers. I told Alan and Susan that if this was the one, we needed to put all of their chips on the table and that’s exactly what we did. We closed for over asking price, but still well under their max budget which was a huge win for Alan and Susan. They couldn’t have been happier to have their dream house in their possession right before the holidays.
