This is a bit of a throwback, but these two deserve a spot on my feed! I like to joke that Scott and Carla are reverse snowbirds – these Florida residents came to me looking for a home to retire to in Bellingham! A cross country purchase definitely comes with a unique set of challenges, none of which are insurmountable.
We found them the perfect home to retire to when they’re ready, and in the meantime, we look forward to seeing them a few times a year and checking out Scott’s latest artwork (he’s a professional photographer – check him out at @fotografer43) on the walls and fresh albums of photos from their latest big trip. Sometimes we’re even lucky enough to join them – we’ve become great friends and have gone to Canada, Mexico and even Switzerland together! I never expect it, but it’s a pretty cool experience to go from clients/vendors to close friends.
